Just a quick post. We will start moving fish houses to the lake tomorrow (TUESDAY) and plan to begin fishing the following day. Our bar will be opening as well serving food and beverages. The guides tended to stay West by Zippel when they could make their way to the lake. Due to a few days where the wind won, we were forced to stay put in the river, where the bite has fizzled out.Smaller jigs with big hooks tipped with a live minnow sitting on a bobber 6-12 inches of the bottom. In the meantime, jigging with a smaller buck shot (color hasn’t been decided but BRIGHT) tipped with just the head of the minnow! Bombers are still about an hour ride each way so dress in layers!
